One of the things that's really come into its own in the past few years is the UFC. What started as an underground sensation has turned into a cable powerhouse, with many fighters slowly and slowly becoming more well known.
The man who runs the UFC Dana White can really be credited as a marketing genius of sorts. He allows lesser fighters to be on free live Shows on Cable and air lesser PPVS. By doing that he really creates a universe that is really easy to get into. Especially at college cmaopuses, guys are getting into UFC more and more and its easy to say why. Two guys fighting with very little padding is what happens across campuses every weekend.

The UFC is great period. People think it is barbaric but I think it is a quality exhibition of people's talents. Critics of UFC say it's too violent but will stand by boxing saying it is the sweet science. Boxing is boring most due to the lack of good boxers. UFC is jus the natural evolution of prize-fighting. It is so much more entertaining than boxing. Boxing is so irrelavant. UFC is here to stay, and it is only getting bigger and bigger.
ReplyDeleteI myself have never really watched a UFC match, but I know a bunch of people who do watch, especially recently. I think the appeal of it is that it is straight-out, raw fighting. Unlike the WWE, for instance, where many of the matches/situations are clearly scripted and choreographed ahead of time. I just think that this makes the UFC all the more exciting.
