The best part of loving cheesy action movies is the villians?
Why?
Because they are always legitimate actors who get to play total assholes and steal films. Their performances are legendary and so fun to watch. Look at these examples
John Lithgow in Cliffhanger
Lance Henriksen in Hard Target
Powers Boothe in Sudden Death
and my personal favorite...Raul Julia in Streetfighter
OH MY GOD, he is awesome as the manical M Bison and a legitimate source of greatness in this film, playing his role to perfection. Probabl my favorite seem comes from an exchange with Chun Li
Chun Li: My father saved his village at the cost of his own life. You had him shot as you ran away. A hero at a thousand paces!
Bison: I'm sorry... I don't remember any of it.
Chun Li: You don't remember?
Bison: For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me... it was Tuesday.
So Evil and Badass, and..excuse me...I'm gonna go watch that movie now that I got on a 4 movie Van Damme pack for 10 dollars
Thrift!

I'm glad to see someone bring up both Street Fighter, Raul Julia, and Lance Henriksen in the same post. All of which I am a fan of. The bad-guy in an action movie can take it over the edge, most definetly. I would say a favorite bad-ass bad-guy would be the T-1000 (RObert Patrick) from Terminator 2: Judgement Day, or just simply T2. A good bad guy is necessary in order to give the flick that EDGE!
