Top list

Ok...here's something new....I decided for the rest of my blogs I might just make some lists for the sake of making lists. Figured they'd be interesting at the very least

Ben's top 10 most badass characters in Film, in no particular order

10. Kham in The Protector.

Tony Jaa plays a young man who seeks to finds his family's stolen elephant and in the process breaks more bones then a million Lawrence Taylors versus a million Joe Theisman's. He gets stabbed and no-sells it and proceeds to deliver insane muay thai skills all over the place.

9. Rorshach- Watchmen.
I mean...staring at death ion the face and demanding it before you'd compromise your beliefs is just totally badass. Plus there was the whole scaring a prison full of psychos into submission without even blinking. He's number 9 for making me question ginger kids' true motivations

8. John McLane-Die Hard.
Not a surprise at all, nobody can be cut to shit by glass and still deliver amazing quips like John McLane. The scene where he outsmart Alan Rickman by asking if he's fucking stupid Hans is just action movie greatness.

7. Chev Chelios in Crank.
You just find out you're going to die in like an hour as a result of being poisoned by a rival. So whatd you do...if youre Chev Chelios then you defy all logic and proceed to kill anyone remotly responsible for your situation. Nobody makes running full speed with a boner quite as badass as Chev.

6. Dignam- The Departed
Clearly when they cast Mark Wahlberg in the role, they told him just to be the world's biggest prick. Another person who just is in your face with no mercy is Dignam in this classic film. Wahlberg steals every scene he's in and his final appearance in the film left be screaming in delight

5. Rambo in Rambo
Nothing needs to be said here.

I'll deliver the rest of my top 5 tomorrow

  1. Great work on the list I can't wait to see the other 5. If you have the patience try to view the Magnificent Seven. It is an old western but has some of the old school bad asses of their time. Yule Brenner, James Colburn, Charles Bronson, Steve McQueen just to name a few.

Cheb Chelios was a great call.

Densel Washington in Training Day...total bad ass..."King Kong and got nuthin' on ME!"

  2. Badasses are what makes a guy movie extra masculine! If a hero or a vilian fail to be strong or at least display their skills well there is no reason for Action.
